Courteney Cox was an American actor, producer, director and producer. She enrolled to study architecture in Mount Vernon College in Washington, DC However, she eventually left her studies to pursue an acting career. The actress made her film debut when she starred in the film 'Down Twisted'. She started gaining fame after playing one of the important characters in the horror-slasher film 'Scream'. It was extremely well-received commercially and earned eleven times its budget. It was also appreciated by reviewers. She reprised her performance in all the three sequels to the movie. Her fame soared to levels never before after she was cast in the main character in the acclaimed sitcom "Friends'". There were numerous awards and nominations for her role.
